Best AMD CPU for GTX 1070

I purchased a desktop for pretty cheap from a friend that needed money for college.
My current CPU is AMD FX-6300; it bottlencks pretty badly and runs pretty weak in all games.
If I want to play Battlefield 1 in 1080p, 60fps (with no dips), I have to set pretty much all settings to low.

I only want to be able to play games like Battlefield 1 at 1080p, 60fps on Very High and maybe even Ultra settings. I have an MSI 970 motherboard, so it can only work with AMD CPUs.
I'm currently considering the AMD FX-8370 on eBay for $100-$150.

I DON'T have a lot of money to spend on my desktop. So, what AMD CPU should I purchase?
Should I just get a new motherboard and go with an Intel CPU?
Again, I really only have enough money for a CPU from eBay. So, if I wanted both a CPU and motherboard, I'd have to wait a few more months

GPU - MSI GTX 1070
CPU - AMD FX-6300
RAM - 16GB DDR3
Motherboard - MSI 970 Gaming motherboard

I suggest overclocking the Fx-6300 and hold out for the Zen CPU. It should launch next month and we should get benchmarks in 2 days at the AMD event.

I wouldn't plough more money into an out-dated platform. Waiting for Zen is a good idea but you will need a new motherboard and RAM.
