Best and cheapest Video Game controller for Windows?

I play FPS, and want a controller. However, I can't quite afford $60+ for a XBOX controller, but I don't quite like the feel of a PS3 controller on my hands. I play on Windows 8.1 Update, so please make sure it's compatible. And make sure it's below $30 USD. Along with having it being able to connect to PC without extras. Thanks!

Try the Logitech F310. Its a good controller. I have both the 360 wired controller and the F310, and I have to say that I think the 360 one feels better.

about the only decent controller in that price range is the Logitech F310. decent controller for the most part, but it has it's cons;
-not all games support it natively
-cheap build, slippery in some hands
-reports of dead zones in the analog stick

any cheaper than that, there's no guarantee it'll be worth your money.

if you can push an extra $6-8 in your budget, get an xbox360 controller if the cons above don't seem worth it. i don't know where you're getting the $60 price tag from, but you shouldn't pay more than $40 for one;

or you could try your local store hopefully for a cheaper price or craiglist/ebay/amazon if you don't mind one used. ignore the controller for windows, and grab the console version & download the driver.

I feel like the F310 is very clunky. The d-pad is a little weird and the triggers dont move as the 360 ones do.
