Hello, I am looking into getting a gaming laptop but I am not very good at this. I have been looking at some ROGs but I am not quite sure which will be best. I will give examples of games I am looking to play if that will help. Skyrim, Guild Wars 2, Fallout 4(maybe), Witcher 1, World of Warcraft (maybe), mainly RPGs.

Thank You!

That is about as good as it gets at around $1000. Next step up would be the GTX1050Ti which is a tiny bit faster

940MX / GT940m (Effectively a desktop GT730 64bit)
GTX960m 5/5 (Effectively a desktop GTX750Ti)
GTX1050 5/6
GTX1050Ti 6/6
GTX1060 3GB 9/10
GTX1060 6GB 10/10
GTX1070 8GB 16/20 (if it weren't for the reduced TDP/Clock, this would be faster than the desktop 1070)
GTX1080 8GB 20/20

Pretty much Nvidia's entire lineup at the moment. Lots of vendors trying to offload those 960m and 940MX so there are some pretty good deals to be had.
thanks guys so with the ASUS with GTX 1050 will it be able to run Skyrim at max settings? will it be able to run Fallout 4 on medium to high? I am pretty sure it would be able to use max settings for Guild Wars 2 and possibly WoW (if I decide to pay the monthly fee to play it.) Again thank you guys for the help, and sorry for my very inexperienced questions. I just want to make sure I am getting the most out of a system that will cost me about 1,000 dollars.
