Yes bios clocking is the way to go but there is more than one advantage of using AMD Overdrive;
This program was created buy the experts in overclocking field ,it's very simple to use..all you have to do is bump the multiplier or voltage and all the other settings(HT ref./mem voltage/NB-SB ,..)will be adjusted automatically for you
The biggest advantage is to be able to boot and if you set your setting wrong it will pic up last stable clock,it's pretty much dummy proof
