Hi gang

Would anyone be kind enough to post or provide some advice on the best BIOS settings for an Asus M5A78L-M-LX V2 mobo using the following configuration and specs:

No overclocking
Gaming, day-to-day use
No RAID

Specs:
AMD FX4100BE unlocked
G-Skill G.Skill Ripjaws X 8GB kit 12800 DDR3 1600
HDD – WD 640GB
PSU – Antec 550w black
GPU - nVidia GTX 275

Appreciate it!

Solution
Use the stock settings, if you want to change anything set the ram frequencies to 1600MHz and set the ram timings as specified. Also check if the ram voltage is right. Other things should be previous set on the bios.

Done. Looks ok but I'm a bit confused as to why my 8GB DDR3 ram (1600) allegedly has a poorer performance than my older 8GB DDR2 RAM (1333) according to the windows experience index...

Thanks for your reply!

I don't think that windows experience index is always correct.
Also when you tested the ram cards were they on a different computer, different motherboard or different processor? If it was then you cannot compare those scores. Also if you want real time read/write speeds use aida64. It costs about $20(at least when I bought it) but there is a trail version too so that you can just check the speeds and then uninstall it.
