Solution J J jaslion Aug 19, 2017 Magerpane : DSzymborski : Would need to know exactly what motherboard you have. Though if it's not too long ago, it's best to return it and use a different platform. My Motherboard is a ASRock N68C-GS4 And Sadly I Can't Return it Honestly sell it it will fetch you some money since it's a transition board (it supports all am2 cpu's some am3 and a couple am3+). However there is no cpu for it availble that isn't extremely weak so not worth investing money in it.

Though it'll be hard getting much for it while Newegg is still selling this exact motherboard new for $50. If you must use it, look for a Phenom II x4 of the 95W variety. But don't spend too much on a CPU for a motherboard from nearly a decade ago. Upvote 0 Downvote
