I’m interested in my own first time build. I was looking at budget and it seems like the i3 8100 is the best cpu paired with a 1060... was originally looking Ryzen. But I want to get a steady 60fps in the upcoming AAA titles coming at the end of the year, in 1080p of course. I need professional suggestions please. Also I love RGB. Thank you In advance

For Windows, a cheaper alternative is on Ebay, you can buy an OEM version of Windows 10 Pro, which is 100% genuine and works just fine. I've been doing this for years and it will cost you less than 10$.

As for the build suggestion, have a look at this. With this build, you can play games like CSGO and Fortnite at 1080p60fps on High settings. AAA games will need to be set to Medium.

Here's why I chose these parts:
- I took Ryzen because when it comes to lower-end CPUs, they tend to perform better. Plus you have 3-years of warranty instead of 1-year with Intel. Also, Ryzen low-end boards can already support faster RAM speeds.
- I went with 2666Mhz RAM because you only have 8Gb RAM total for this price and having speed like this will make your life easier.
- I decided not to go cheap on the PSU because you don't want to risk frying your computer.
- I didn't get 20-30$ case because I think it's worth spending a little bit more on it, to get features like dust filters everywhere, tempered glass so side panel doesn't get scratched very easily, and captive thumbscrews. And it has RGB.

This is the Ebay link for the OEM Windows 10 Pro key:

It's 100% Legit. Works Well. I've been using this myself.

Your going to also need one of those hated molex to pcie power adapters. The GTX1060 is not a high power card so it should be ok with the HP power supply. STICK WITH THE GIGABYTE BECAUSE THEY DON'T DRAW LOTS OF POWER FROM THE PCIE SLOT AND MOST OEM BOARDS DO NOT SUPPLY THE FULL 75WATTS, SOME ARE ONLY 25WATTS(SFF HP'S). Check TOM's Reviews for the card first, the watts for the PEG(PCIE slot), pcie connector and wattage total.

That would be installing Windows, which would then have the watermark/nag in the lower corner telling you to activate Windows, and you'd be unable to do any of the personalization stuff.

I'd strongly recommend against any of the super-cheap licenses you might find. I wouldn't trust them. Others will disagree with that.

It's still overbudget a bit. So unless you have windows, a hdd kicking around, maybe a case.... Then your picking the absolute cheapest stuff to try to make budget.

this is my suggestion, I would use the free windows version.

Im the person whom disagrees with that, I bought mine for 30 euros and its still working after 2 years?
never had issues with it and neither had my friends.

this is just nuke, not the good way.

Srsly, you're recommending him a 4th Gen CPU with DDR3 Ram? That build is trash bro.

They're not super cheap licenses. They're OEM licenses. It's not the same thing and helps a lot for people on a budget.

Even the $10 ones? I've seen OEM licenses, but I don't think ever for less than $50.

And wow even a real seasonic and pcie gen 3x4 m2 ssd+500gig hdd. Yeah it's the old board and Ryzen 3 1200 which is a good match for a RX570. Ok a little bit of a compromise between the cpu and Gpu allows for some much better parts.

I suppose it would be a bit cheaper.
