Hello,
I am currently on the hunt for a decent CPU to play games with; I already have some parts that I have collected over time, and all I am lacking is the CPU, mobo, case, and OS. One of the main games I will be playing is EU4, but also games similar to it, such as Civilization 5. My point is, these strategy-based games are all CPU-intensive, so I am just curious as to what the best budget CPU would be best for these types of games (~$100). Also, I want to be able to upgrade my GPU in the future, so a CPU that will last a while is preferred. I can be somewhat flexible with the price; the main goal is a decent CPU that will meet my needs. I'm just wanting a simple budget gaming machine; I have a convertible laptop as well.
Parts I already have:
Nvidia GT 640
8GB 1333MHz RAM
500GB HDD
500w PSU
Monitor (1600x900), mouse, keyboard
