Hey guys,

Im sorry for asking this as I know there are many forums that have dealt with these questions before.
I have decided to upgrade my pc a little, with an i7-9700k and 2070 super from my i5-8400 and 1070 8gb.
Im also gonna put more ram in (probably 32 gigs) and maybe some more m.2 ssd. Currently im using a 550 watt psu bronze 80 rated, from a brand i dont even know. My pc has worked fine, but lately began crashing randomly when playing some games and my fps are dropping. Might be psu failing??

What psu do you guys recommend? I wnana go for 650 watt range, but i dont want it to be too expensive. Ive been looking at Corsair cx650, but some say that its bad.

Ty for any help

Random reboots are either PSU issue or high thermals.
So, yes, it could be your no-name PSU issue.

650W unit would actually be what i'd suggest. Though Corsair CX-series is mediocre quality PSU and only good for office PC without dedicated GPU. For gaming rigs, i'd suggest good/great quality PSU, like: Seasonic Focus/Vertex/PRIME, Corsair RMx/RMi/HXi/AXi, Super Flower Leadex Gold/Platinum/Titanium.

Seasonic Focus GX-650 (80+ Gold) is good quality PSU with 10 years of warranty.

I too have Seasonic Focus in use, but mine is PX-550 (80+ Platinum). And the other two PSUs i have, are Seasonic PRIME TX-650 (80+ Titanium).
