Hi All,
Could anybody please advice which of these three graphic is best for 3D CAD, 3D rendering and Video editing and if - in practice - there is any noticeable difference between them:
- Gigabyte Radeon RX 7800 XT GAMING OC 16GB Graphics Card - 16GB GDDR6 256-bit
- Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti GAMING OC Graphics Card - 16GB GDDR6, 128-bit, PCI-E 4.0, 2595MHz Core Clock
- MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti GAMING X 16G Graphics Card - RTX 4060 Ti GPU, 16GB GDDR6 (18Gbps/128-bit), PCIe 4.0

Also:
1) I cannot see how many PCI lanes each of them take. Would all three work at their full PCI lanes with my motherboard (see below)
2) would the power supply (see below) is enough for all of them?

The system setup is as follows:
- 2 x 27 Inch Monitors, 4K Computer Monitors UHD(3840 * 2160), IPS, 6ms, 60Hz, 2x HDMI 2.0 & DisplayPort 1.4
- MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK Motherboard ATX
- 64Gb RAM
- AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor 3.80 GHz.
- Corsair RM850 (2021), RM Series, 850 Watt Power Supply

Software would be all the Adobe products, Solidworks, etc.

Thank you :)

Can you specify what app's you'll be taxing the GPU/platform with, without an etc?

How old is your PSU and what did it power throughout it's tenure?

The RTX4060Ti runs at PCIe 4.0 x8 while the RX 7800 XT runs at PCIe 4.0 x16. What are you currently working with discrete GPU wise?

Thank you @Lutfij
much appreciated feedback!

To answer your questions:

- Can you specify what app's you'll be taxing the GPU/platform with, without an etc?
The ones I use most are: Solidworks, Solidworks Visualize (the rendering engine for Solidworks), Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom Classic and Filmora.

- How old is your PSU and what did it power throughout it's tenure?
The PSU (Corsair RM850 (2021), RM Series, 850 Watt) is from May 2021 and since then only powered the system with the following specs
- MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK Motherboard ATX
- 64Gb RAM
- AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor 3.80 GHz.
- 2 x M.2 on the main two M.2 bays on the motherboard M.2 slots. They are Crucial P5 Plus 1TB M.2 PCIe Gen4 NVMe - CT1000P5PSSD8
- an old graphic card Radeon RX550 (from memory it does not even have a power connector)

- The RTX4060Ti runs at PCIe 4.0 x8 while the RX 7800 XT runs at PCIe 4.0 x16. What are you currently working with discrete GPU wise?
An Radeon RX550 with 4Gb VRAM

What do you think and suggest with the following:

1) Which ones of the graphic cards I listed at the beginning would you recommend for my setup and requirements?

2) As you mentioned the RX 7800 XT runs at PCIe 4.0 x16 instead of PCIe 4.0 x8 of the others. Considering all PCI slots are available and am running only the two M.2 drives mentioned above on the motherboard itself, do I have enough PCI lanes available for the PCIe 4.0 x 16 card?

3) How do I know if the PSU is overloaded perhaps under maximum PC computational load?

Thank you again for your help. 🙏 😊
