I am planning to upgrade my CPU from my AMD FX-8320 up to the Ryzen 7 1800x. I understand this will require a motherboard upgrade to an AM4 slot and consequentially will require me to replace my DDR3 RAM with DDR4 to fit the new board.

Could i please get some recommendations on motherboards and what RAM to get (16GB total) and also the best place to buy these (CPU included) as my budget is £500

I am also not sure of whether the CPU comes with a cooler nor am i sure if it does if it will need to be upgraded so if you could advise on that as well it would be appreciated, Thanks

Currently I'm not sure 1800x is best choice as 2700x comes out :)
1. it will have cooler.
2. ~10% stronger than 1800x , few new features from AMD
3. same price.

example build from one of reviews:
2x8GB G.Skill F4-3400C16D-16GSXW £155.99
Gigabyte Aorus X470 Gaming 7 Wifi £167.99
AMD Ryzen 7 2700X £299

We are close to this build from rewiew, Cheaper mobo and 2933 ram might do the trick.

you might want to sell ram. Should go for ~100 fast.

Thanks for the quick response, would there be any cheaper options for the motherboard and also when is this chip due to come out?
