Best computer for youtube / ustream OUTGOING live streaming?

Hello All.

I am currently using a Windows XP / AMD 2400+ system to steam OUTGOING online video. I bet at least one of you spit out your drink after reading that , but it is true!

It's definitely time to upgrade.

I have used ustream.com and justin.tv before it was shut down. I would like to use youtube streaming and if fiber every comes to my neighborhood I would like to host my own OUTGOING video stream.

I use Adobe Media Encoder when I can but I'm not familiar with all of the settings or other options out there.

What are the suggestions for a single use video OUTGOING streaming machine?

It would be used once or twice a month. I don't want a full blown machine but I am willing to pay for a decent machine. Out of the box is preferred but if there is good build that would be better for this usage then I could lean in that direction.

What's your budget for the rig? And do you want an HTPC form factor or a tower? Let's start there.

Go with fx 8320, better streaming performance.
A nvidia card would be better cause they have better driver for streaming. Consider a 760 or 770.
The rest are flexible, make them fit ur budget.

For a home theater PC with no gaming? I'd go with an AMD APU or a Pentium G3258 over an FX-8320.

But yeah.

Yeah for streaming videos from Youtube it doesn't take that much to power a rig so you can get by with a less expensive processor and GPU.

What do you mean by "HTPC form factor", is that one of the all in one units?

I think a tower would have more possibilities and expandability if I want to repurpose it in the future.
