Best Cooling system for Overclock fx 8350 + Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 ?

hi gurus.

im currently building my 3d modeling rig.

im confused about cooling. i planning to oc my pc at highest possible

ive read that cm 212 evo can handle my temp with about 4.2ghz

ive also read that Noctua NH-D14 is a good fan thats allows me to oc up to 4.5ghz

h100i and h110 allows me even higher.

now my question is. which is the best cooling?

pros and cons?

h60
seidon 120m


i wanna knows what's the best? i hope some of you can help me.

Whatever you fire off at the processor, Ivy bridge remains hard to cool once overclocked with added voltage. thanks for the reply. i might go with the high overclock. because i will be dealing with renderings and i used the pc. 8-12 hrs straight a day.
 


Noctua nh D14 all the way.
I have it, my i7 4790k is clocked at 4.6ghz and the temps hardly get to 70.
 


hi. thanks. i will have 8350 chips. ive that 8350 chips produce higher temp than intels.

what if i get a noctua d14 and a cm hyper evo? would that be possible?
 


If you get lucky you can hit even 4.8 or 5ghz with Noctua nh d14 with temps well bellow 70C.
And Haswell cpus tend to run hotter than fx series ones imo.
 


I was able to keep a 4.9Ghz clock on my 8350 when i was using the Seidon 120M. You probably havent read the report showing the h100i and h110 are junk. My friend bought a h100i for his build and I picked it up and was astonished. It weighed easily half of the Seidon. Felt like it wasnt even full. The best possible cooler hands down no questions asked is the NZXT Kracken 60 Extreme. Coolest and quietest out of everything you have up there.
 


which is better? seidom 120m or seidon 120v? ca i overclock 8350 up to 4.8ghz for more than 8 hours using seidon 120m?
 


can dh14 allows me to overclock 8350 for more than 8 hours?

 


Seidon 120M has a more quiet fan and is about 3-5 c cooler, which justifies the reason it is some about 10$ more expensive, so go with Seidon 120M if you can afford it, if not you won't lose much.
But Noctua Nh d14 would be better imo.
 


I have no experience with the 120V. So I couldnt tell you. I would get the Seidon 240M if i was you because it is a bigger 120M.

It doesnt sound like that.
I have it running in my system right now and I can only hear it if I really try to.
Its quite and cools very well.
 


Im saying once he is doing intensive tasks it will ramp them up. Then it will sound like a jet
 


Also not true.
Cpu usage 100%, cpu temp 72 and I can hardly hear it.
4790k @ 4.6ghz
 


48.3 dBa vs. 40 dBa. I'm just saying its louder than some other choices.
 


You should be.
All Cpus are different, we can't answer you how good your fx 8350 will be because its a "lottery".
You can get a good or a bad chip.
But you'll be able to hit 4.8ghz with Nh d14, if you get lucky you will be able to get 5ghz or maybe even 5.2ghz.
