Best CPU for fortnite

Hello fellas I have gtx 1060 6gb and I want to get myself new CPU , so my question is what is the best CPU for the best FPS in fortnite ? I want to get +200 FPS in the game 😛

The absolute best chip would probably be something around an i7-8700k or 9700k, or maybe even the 7700k. Problem is, I would like to know the name of the motherboard and/or chipset. I do not think you realize that is would not be easy to get +200 fps with only a GTX 1060, unless you turn down graphic settings heavily. Your GPU is going to be the main factor of your framerate, then the CPU. A more powerful CPU will not help if you have a crappy GPU and the same reversed. On 1080p, you *might* be able to get 200+ fps, but with the current rig, even with that shiny 8700k, you still would not be able to get framerates that high. If you are wanting THAT kind of fps, you would something a lot more high-end, not that a 1060 is not already that high-end. Plus, if your monitor doesn't even support a high enough refresh rate to see the benefit of 200 fps, then what is the point?

What you have is a Sandy Bridge processor. The best processors you could most-likely upgrade to are the i7-2700k and the i7-2600. I am going to assume that your motherboard does not support overclocking because your i5 you have is non-overclockable. The i7-2600 is your best bet.

I have one question, what kind of monitor do you have? If you cannot figure out your exact model, can you at least tell me what brand and what resolution and refresh rate your monitor uses? If you can answer that, I can find a verdict on your gpu situation.

My monitor is crapy its 60hz 1080p but im willing to buy 144hz monitor with the new CPU that im asking about in here

1155 socket is a old dead socket. I’d recommend a new mobo and cpu (AMD Because it’s cheaper and better for budget builds) but if you want to stick with what you got, the
i7-3770K is the best.

Then I’d recommend the 2600 Ryzen 5 with any am4 motherboard and 8 to 16 gb of ram (3200mhz recommended for amd)

No i dont play other games i only play fortnite with friends and i dont do anything else no rendering videos or doing anything on my pc

No i dont play other games i only play fortnite with friends and i dont do anything else no rendering videos or doing anything on my pc

in that case an intel core i5 8500 or AMD ryzen 5 build with 8GB of ram. that would meet the recommended requirements for the game plus some headroom for future games

note because of the age of your hardware you will have to get a new motherboard and ram too once you figure out what CPU you want to go with but you will still be able to use your 1060 with it

Why do you want 200 FPS... it’s not a twitch shooter or even FPS. Plus you’ll be running into a GPU bottleneck if would be cheaper to swap that out.

Bottleneck as in it is the limiting factor. No matter what CPU you get the GPU will probably limit you to somewhere under 200.

Twitch shooter is something like CSGO

Ok guys so i have been searching a lot and i find out that the i7 6700k is a very good one , but my question is i'm i going to get a bottleneck or any problems ?
