Question Best CPU for gaming using LGA 1150 Socket?

Title says it all. What's the best CPU I can use in an LGA 1150 Socket for gaming.

i7 4770k, which is basically an older version of the same chip. There were some improvements to the 4790k which made it better over the 4770k such as better TIM, and higher stock clocks and better power management.

it can be overclocked as it is unlocked and is the gen5 not the gen 4 also

Old thread. I doubt the op will be back and is probably sorted by now.

Btw, hardly anyone games on igpus and wouldn't decide the 5775 based on that, it's L4 cache maybe and cooler operation. Overclocking from it's much lower base clock would depend on silicon lottery to match a 4790k. Wouldn't bother since 4790k can overclock further.

Most people who are gaming aren't using the integrated graphics, which will still be far worse than even a basic budget gaming GPU. There's not much point tracking one down over an easily findable 4790k; the Broadwell ipc gains were essentially wiped out by a lower clock compared to the 4790k.
