[SOLVED] Best CPU for HP 505B

According to the info in my link above, the
AMD Athlon II X4 645 Processor seems to be the optimum CPU for my machine... but I'm not too happy about the performance.

Is there a better Quad CPU not listed on the page that might be compatible with my machine? I know my machine is 10 years old but if posable I would like a much better CPU.

Tell us about your RAM and GPU there may be other issues.
I'm seeing 2x RAM slots and a 4GB "limit". Look around and see if 8GB is actually supported. My Optiplex 380 has 2x RAM slots and a 4GB "limit" but handles 8GB just fine. With 8GB RAM a 3 GB GTX1060 works better than a 4GB GTX1050Ti.
4GB RAM will pretty much limit you to a 1GB GPU. The CPU scores are about the same as my X5470 Xeon swapped Dell Opti 380.
Try for 8GB RAM, and a 2-3GB GPU.
