Best CPU for MSI GAMING 1070Ti

Hi, I need CPU for my new overclocked 1070Ti.
It must be enough fast (not bottlenecking GPU), but I dont want to pay more for CPU what is even more capable than I need for 1070Ti.

Usage will be mostly for open-world 1080p games (royale, survival), and 1080p video editing.

What is best choice today?

Have you already decided on a motherboard or platform? Budget?

Best for 1080p gaming would be either the 8600k or 8700k paired with a Z370 motherboard.

If you want more multithreaded performance you could consider the Ryzen 7 2700 paired with a X470 motherboard.

I really don't want more power than I need for 1070Ti. I have medium budget and I am not interested in overclocking at all.

And yea, I deffinitely want 8th gen Intel.

i5-8600 will not be enough? I think i7 is overkill for me, but if 8600 will still bottleneck GPU I have no choice I think.

And I will rather use Fury Black RAMs than overpriced RGB 😀 I am really not into it 😀 (And I have pc without glass because its on left side of desk )

Much rather have 6c/12t so that in 2 years time, you are not wondering if 6 threads i enough the following year, etc....

6c/6t does fine today, however, at least in gaming alone....; i'd prefer 6c/12t if a streaming gamer./

Yep 8600 would be enough, the 8700 would give a bit more longevity with 12 threads.

Yeah whatever ram will be fine, I only picked that one was it was the cheapest 2666 RAM kit on pc partpciker.
