Best CPU for Pegatron 2A73H (HP Compaq DX2400 Minitower) ??

I have friend in Venezuela who can not afford better PC, I would like to send him the best CPU for his socket because the LGA775 CPUs are much cheaper here in America. But I hear some motherboards don't support all CPUs for the socket? How do I know if it will work in the motherboard? Any help very appreciated

True that not all CPU's are supported on 775 motherboards. Here is what HP says it supports.

Intel Core 2 Quad (Y) Q9xxxx
Intel Core 2 Duo (W) E8xxx
Intel Core 2 Quad (K) up to Q6600
Core 2 Duo E6x00 (C) up to E6700
Core 2 Duo E4x00 (C) up to E4400

The Q6600 is usually a safe bet with a good TDP and not usually to expensive since a lot were made.
