Hey guys. Sorry if this is an already asked question but I have been googling and Tom-ing for hours. I'm trying to find the best CPU for a DFI Lanparty X48 Dark Edition Motherboard. It's an LG775 Socket and I'm on kind of on a tight budget so doing a full Mobo swap is out of the question.
Here's the Specs I can find right now for my current build(I say current because I have 4GB of ram on the way and soon to buy a second GPU for crossfire)

Available Virtual Memory 5.33 GB

GPU
Name ATI Radeon HD 5500 Series
Adapter Type ATI display adapter (0x68DA), ATI Technologies Inc. compatible
Adapter Description ATI Radeon HD 5500 Series
Adapter RAM 1.00 GB (1,073,741,824 bytes)
Installed Drivers aticfx64.dll,aticfx64.dll,aticfx64.dll,aticfx32,aticfx32,aticfx32,atiumd64.dll,atidxx64.dll,atidxx64.dll,atiumdag,atidxx32,atidxx32,atiumdva,atiumd6a.cap,atitmm64.dll
Driver Version 8.850.0.0
The case is an old Alienware Aurora that I cut and modified to fix the ventilation issues.
Side note: I have seen something about modifying some of the older server processors to fit with a sticker of some sort? Is this a viable option?
Thanks for any and all help.
