Hi, I had a question regarding the best combination of components I could chose:

i5-4460 + R9 280 or with R9 280X

AMD FX 8320 or AMD FX 6300 with R9 280 or R9 280X

So which combination would be the best for me? My goal is to play modern games at full settings on 1080p @ 1980x768

Also, I stumbled upon this PSU: http://www.coolermaster.com/powersupply/b-series/b600ver2/

Is it any good? I couldn't really find any good reviews about it, so I was hoping that there was maybe somebody else here that had the same PSU and could shed his/her experience with it.

Go with the i5, no question. AMD's processors can't keep pace with Intel (for now). The 280x is pretty far ahead of the 280, so an i5 with the 280x is a great combination for your resolution.

As far as your PSU, and I can't say for sure about that model, but I can point you towards some other great PSU's 😉.

I don't like the PSU. 552/600W, and it only has a single 6+2 plug? Weak. I personally would pick the 4460 and the 280X. You'll probably be fine either way however. Check out how your favorite game performs with the 8320 as some perform lower then they should. But as I said you'll probably be fine either way. (meaning pick the cheaper option.)

Could you explain why the Intel has a better upgrade path? I thought it isn't overclockable?

Those are a bit too expensive for me I'm afraid, what do you think of this one:

The I5-4460 won't overclock but if you pair it with a Z97 MB and down the line you decide to get the I7-4790K or 4770K then you will be able to OC and make it last a bit longer. Right now Intel is much better for gaming while AMD is better for multi-threaded apps so if your just gaming the I5 is great for performance.

Corsair is a great company, but that model of power supply is not. Those ones have been known to explode. Check this list, and plan accordingly.
