Hi guys!

I had a dilemma with my new PC, I can not decide which CPU to buy since more than a month now.
I considered many options, 9700k, 8700 non-K, 9600k and also Ryzen 2700x.
And now the 3rd gen Ryzens are coming and maybe I should wait for the Ryzen 3800x, 3700x benchmark.
My priority is not the build an overkill PC, but do not bottleneck the RTX2080.
This PC will only for gaming, nothing else, I will not stream from this or work on this.
I already have the RTX2080 and the display is an ASUS PG258Q 1080p 240hz G-SYNC, and the not so far future there will be an 1440p monitor.

I am not that kind a gamer who satisfied with +30 or +60 fps, i have watched a video yesterday where the guy recommend a GTX1050Ti for FULL HD PUBG just because it runs +45 fps, I think it is not a good way to play and not enjoyable.

So what do you think? I have to go for High-End i7-9700k or a weaker/cheaper CPU get the job done with an RTX2080?

Thank you for any advice!

if you're not willing to wait, get the Ryzen 7 2700x That chip is fantastic and more bang for buck than the 9600k and 9700k , and on the flip side, if the 3000 series are going to be as good as AMD is saying, you can get that instead, but of course theres the gamble of waiting till possibly June for those to release, and we havent got any concrete answers yet.
