best ddr4 ram for rendering

i want to buy ddr4 memory but confused off lot rams out there.

which should i get ,
crucial or corsair
2133 ,2400 or 2800

my purpose is rendering extreme

Simply put, performance of RAM=MHz/CL where higher is better.
Assuming you're going to buy 32GB of RAM (2x16GB RAM) as you're going to be doing loads of editing, rendering, etc... Looking on pcpartpicker, there were 3 sticks of RAM with low CAS with the frequencies you mentioned, which were:


MHz/CL
RAM #1 (Mushkin Blackline 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($169.99 @ Newegg)) - 16GB - 2133/12 = ~177 reports
RAM #2 (Mushkin Redline 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($231.98 @ Newegg)) - 16GB - 2400/13 = ~184 reports
RAM #3 (Mushkin Blackline 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2800 Memory ($188.11 @ Amazon)) - 16GB - 2800/16 = ~175 reports

So you'd be better off going for RAM #2 for performance, but RAM #1 for value. Entirely upto you


I would go with corsair. What are the case latencies with each of these speeds? That runs hand in hand with clock speed.
