Best drive imaging software

I want to create a drive image for several computers as insurance. Windows version doesn't cut it. Acronis looked promised until I read the customer reviews. Suggestions?

I use DriveimageXML. Save the image to a different drive, or different drive letter/shared drive that lives on a different PC.

It is not instantly usable, but from the DriveimageXML interface....Restore Image.

PC A image gets saved to folder PC_A_Image
PC_B saved to PB_B_Image....

Acronis has worked well for me. It's a very powerful program and I suspect that most problems people have with it fall into the operator error category. Once you figure out what you want it to do, it generally does it.
