[SOLVED] Best FreeNAS CPU for <$180?

Hello,

I am looking to build a Free NAS system ,and so I'm looking for a CPU in the $180 range, preferably less.

Any recommendations? I don't have any hardware yet, so recommend any gen and processor you think is best.

System will start off with 8GB RAM and 2x 8TB Red drives.

Unless you are running 10Gbps with compression and encryption, you should be fine with any modern 4c8t CPU. (Ex.: i3-10100 and Ryzen 3400G if you want to avoid needing a discrete GPU for the lowest power possible.)
