I plan to overclock

Monitor res. is 1920x1080

Needs a window if possible.

A. No reason for you to overclock with that budget
B. Should we factor Windows into your budget?

Yes

sorry to reign on your thread but i basically need the same thing but without windows, should I just go with the first response at the top.

another thing can it handle any game on lowest settings?

You won't necessarily be able to play new games if you're going to be buying a 300-400 pc w/o windows. Here is a build that I just finished that will run most new games on ultra settings at 1080p. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/21w0t
Amazing graphics card for the price. This is the best you can get for a 500 gaming pc. If you don't have money for an operating system then you could just install Ubuntu until you have enough money for windows.

Yea. I actually have the 650ti-b from asus, runs league, borderlands 2, and skyrim all at max settings at 60fps with v-sync (capped at 60) @1600x900.

Please, Do not post your questions one someone else thread. I am sure that lots of forum users are happy to help you, but your best chance is posting your on thread.

Here is the build I would use-

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($47.49 @ Newegg)

Video Card: MSI Radeon HD 6570 1GB Video Card ($54.99 @ Amazon)

Robax definitely showed you a solid build, but this one is better for a few reasons-
A. One terabyte HDD over a 500GB HDD
B. The CPU is pretty much superior in every way
C. the cases- NZXT- 4x120mm fans VS Rosewill- 2x120mm fans
NZXT- USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 VS Rosewill- USB 2.0
NZXT-8 x 3.5' • 3 x 5.25' VS Rosewill 7 x 3.5' • 3 x 5.25' Robax, your build is definitely a solid one, I just wanted to point out the advantages that this setup brings 😀

guys guys dont go windows 7 if your playing BF4 sadly i just changed from 7 to 8.1 most of my bugs are gone trust me they are gone but i was lucky and got the student cost at 80$ for pro version

can this handle any game at lowest settings?
also since this is my first pc im going to build how much could I upgrade it in the future.

--

yea i plan on getting windows 8

Do mean, can this setup play any game, ever made, in the history of the world? I would say no, simply because some games have outrageous specification requirements. However, I'm pretty confident that at-least 90% of all modern games can be played on this computer, but you might have to use low graphics. I recommended Win7 because almost everyone on TH hates Win8, but Windows 8 should work fine. I'm actually running it on my laptop, and I like it more then Windows 7.
