Hi,

I want to change my old desk for a better one and I was wondering if any of you have suggestions. Currently, I have a tiny cube-sized desk of 30 cm by 30 cm. It is a tight fit for my computer and as a student, I miss a spot to do my homeworks.

I have a corner space in my chamber avaible of 50 inches by 50 inches. I need to fit a 27'' monitor, a mid-tower PC, a printer, a keyboard, a mouse and a large mousepad. I can put my tower on the ground and the printer of a shelf above the desk.

I think that a L-Shaped desk would be ideal because I could put my computer on one side and do my howeworks on the other side. If possible, I would want to put my keyboard directly on the desk and not a stand.

Anyone have a good desk to recommend ?

this is a nice clear glass desk. same style as the first

this is a nicer heavier duty looking glass desk. its frosted too. if you wanted stylish you could throw some lighting under this one for a pretty neat looking glowing desk while having it still be practical. not sure if you like that sort of...
look at my build (sig link)

i got it for the grand total of free (well i paid $40 for formica to redo the top but i paid nothing for the desk)

often retail stores get rid of old tables when revamping their displays and there are nothing wrong with the old ones. most of the time such things are just trashed. a litle TLC and you have a great desk for almost no money invested.

if you want a retail solution...

honestly without giving us a budget of how much you want to spend... we cant really give you any options. desks can cost $50, $100, for $1000+ (yes i realize the last is quite out of your budget, just proving a point).

the L shaped glass top desks with metal legs or the flakeboard wood veneer corner desks both work. the glass ones are a bit nicer looking though but dont have shelves.

personally i think they are crap but for a student and for not a huge budget they work perfectly fine.

if you wanted something "flashy" then thats possible too.

oh and you may want to state what country you are from (you did cay CM by CM but also IN by IN so not sure if USA or ?)

rather neat L desk

basic L desk with filing cabinet (could be useful since you are a student)

anyways... just a few ideas if you wanted to purchase one instead of find one.

if you have tools and have a handyman dad you could always build one too.
