Tritton AX Pro & TurtleBeach PX5
Both are excellent headsets at the <200$ price range although I'd prefer the TurtleBeach because its Wireless and offers crystal clear sound quality.

Just to chime in, the Tritton AX Pro's were the worst headset that I have ever seen above the $50.00 price point. The directional sound was non-existent without the dolby surround attachment (which simulates surround with equal accuracy in stereo headphones as well) despite the advertised 4 drivers in each can (which is a gimmick). The sound was thin, and tinny. All of this was subsequently followed by microphone failure within 24 hours, which is the most commonly reported failure on the headset. Shortly thereafter sound went out in the rear right driver, the second most commonly reported failure. I have literally never seen a better looking, less comfortable, more poorly manufactured headset in my life. If style points counted it would have been a great headset.

^^I didn't experience any Microphone failure on the headset.Well I agree that directional sound was non existent without Dolby Surround Sound Attachment.I have many friends who own AX Pro and didn't have a single problem with the headset. The sound clarity is pretty decent.

I've used a Turtle Beach X12 on my Xbox and love it so much. The difference using a headset was insane and the headset is comfortable and I've never had a problem with it and I've had it over a year. I believe my friend used the equivalent model for the PS3 is the P11 and love it as well. There are newer models but I find these still have quite a bang for not much money. You can check out their website for newer versions / wireless versions. Having a long cord on the X12 is annoying to deal with but there is always a chance of interference or running out of power with wireless. Corded is a simpler cheaper solution.

I didn't find the stereo and the built quality of the Official Sony Wireless Headset much appealing.Overall on personal usage I found it pretty decent nothing extraordinary. The TurtleBeach PX5 offers crystal clear sound and the ingame sound effects are a bit more crisper in the PX5. Moreover I did'nt feel the Official Sony Wireless Headset comfortable for long gaming sessions.

The TB PX5 are not that great for the price your paying. And they operate in the 2.4Ghz range, so you will get a lot of interference. Look into astro a40s(A little out of price range you want to spend but amazing) or possibly the a30s.

Personally i have owned TB 4x, TB 41x, Tritton AX Pro, Tritton AX720s and Astro A40s. A40s have it for overall quality and I would say the old TB 4x would be second. I had alot of problems with the TB41s and the Tritton AXPros and with the AX720s its just lacking the high end sound quality. So it really just depends on how into gaming you are and what your buddget is.

I do have the new Tritton Warheads on Pre-order but we will see if they ever actually come out!!!
