Best gaming monitor ( budget)

Since it's crappy to play on a 30 freq hdtv with a pc, i want to buy a good monitor mainly for gaming.

Since i haven't found a good one yet, im asking if any of you have some suggestions?

My budget is 150, but can rise to 180 max.

Also quick side question: would it be smarter to use the monitor with a hdmi cable to my video card? or will that slow things down.

Asus VX238H-W yeah use the hdmi, or with this monitor you get a dvi to hdmi, you can use that. Just plug in the dvi into the gpu and the hdmi into the monitor. I have this monitor, so beast. Use it for pc and xbox gaming.
