best gpu for 1080p 60fps gaming

5-4590 3.5GHz
EVO 212
MSI R9 280X
GSkill Ripjawz 8gb (2x4)
Corsair CS650M
MSI Z97
but my 280x is constantly gray screening and crashing so im going to uprage sooner than i wanted, what would be a good gpu for 1080p gaming at 60fps at high+ settings for this build
i cant reply for some reason ok my budget is £300
i cannot return the item and everything is all up to date on it i believe the vram is just messed up

r9 280x is a good card for gaming @1080p / 60fps. Did you double check your drivers and BIOS updates?

MSI's video cards carry a 3 year warranty. RMA your current card maybe? The 280x is still quite relevant for 1080p. http://us.msi.com/page/warranty#w-vga

If you are in a low budget get another 280x and Crossfire. EDIT: didnt read that you have issues :/ Is your card OC? Try to give the GPU some extra voltage

If you have a big budget get an GTX 970 😉

Btw two R9 280x in CF will be faster

Did you try to underclock a little bit the card and give that card a little more Voltage in core ?
Also you could CF if you could fix the exsiting card 😉

Is it only going grey under load? i.e. when playing a game? All the time? Or is it doing so randomly? Do you have an on-board video card or an older one you can revert to see if the issue goes away? Is the fan working on the card? Could also be something else like a bad driver. If you have access to a 2nd computer, try putting the card into that and see if the issue persists. If it doesn't, look at the RAM sticks (they can fail easily), power supply, etc.
