What is the best GPU for £300?
I've heard the gtx 970 get a lot of praise recently but I wasn't sure whether it is the best one for that money.

The 970 is the best GPU for the money. It will max practically any game at 1080p, and should continue to do so for quite a while.

yes it is. the other option you have is the gtx 780? or the 770? not to sure about the prices of those. but the 970 is nearly as good as the 780 ti which is alot more expesnive. and the 970 is easily overclockable to the performance of a 980 on stock clock.

so the 970 is the way to go.

get the 970.
not all games supports crossfire very well.
and in the future it's better to SLI a 970 then invest in 2 x r9 270x now
