Best gpu to pair with i3 3210 - gtx 1050 ti or rx 470

Hey guys. . Im planning to upgrade my gpu from HD 7750 to gtx 1050 ti /rx 470 (both 4 gb)
I'm on a tight budget so can't upgrade the cpu (i3 3210)....
I know it's a pretty old cpu and it will probably bottleneck the above gpus
So which gpu would be the best here.? . Which will be bottleneccked less here?..
I've seen rx 470 perform better than gtx 1050 ti.. But will it be bottlenecked by the cpu and give the same performance as the gtx 1050 ti?..
I want to play the latest games at max settings @ 1080p at about 30+ fps..
By the way the rx 470 is a bit more expensive than gtx 1050 at my place..
I considered gtx 1050 ti also because I wanted to try out nvidia exclusive gfx settings (physx etc). . Is it worth getting an nvidia card for nvidia gameworks..? Or should I just go for performance and choose rx 470 anyway... Since a lot of pc games is seem to be made with nvidia. . Is nvidia a safer option?
Sorry for long post.. .. Had too many doubts.. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated..

The RX 470 is faster in most DX11 games. And WAY faster in DX12 and Vulcan games.

Those extra kinds of effects you're talking about almost always require a fast videocard. You're on a tight budget so I don't think it's a good idea to make a choice based on that. Your CPU isn't that bad. Some games don't require that much CPU, a game like Rise of the Tomb Raider. However they can use all the GPU power you have. A 470 would be worth it there. Some games do require a lot of CPU and in those games you'll see no extra gains from a 470. So whether it's worth the extra cost is only something you can answer since only you know what games you'll be playing on it.

.. Il be playing AAA games (and not esports) mainly fps, rpg, and other third person games.. I don't usually play strategy based games which I think uses more cpu..
So the best choice would be rx 470 here?..
If I were to get a gtx 1060 3gb.. Will there be bottlenecking?

More than enough for either card. Unless it happens to be a real cheap PSU that can't meet its specs.

DX12 is a function of the graphics card and the Win10 OS, not the CPU. Besides, it seem DX12 hasn't made the big splash in games it was expected to. Nevertheless, your concern is not warranted. Do you run Win 10?

The 2C/4T i3-3210 can game quite well with the GTX 1050 Ti or RX-470/570. I even had a GTX 1060 3GB with my Ivy Bridge i3 awhile back. Did quite well with the card. Unfortunately, card prices are artificially high right now. So you will be paying more than retail for them.

No I dont run windows 10 but some games require it right? Anyway I read that my i3 doesn't support dx 12 only 4th and 5th gen support it.
Also another question I had in my mind. Will GTX 1050ti be good enough for 900p gaming for years to come? I want high settings minimum don't really want to compromise with the visuals of the game.
GTX 1050ti I've been able to find lowest for 12000inr and 1050 for 9000inr. I can find them for 1000 less too but still there will be atleast the 125 percent more price of the 1050ti. Is it worth it for future proof 900p gaming?

Any CPU that has enough processing power will run DX12. If you don't have W10, you won't be running games using the DX12 API anyway. So it's a moot point.

Depending on the game, the GTX 1050 Ti will do high settings nicely on 900p displays. Google the games you like and 'gtx 1050 ti" and check out some videos. Here is an example of BF1 and the GTX 1050 Ti. (1600x900 begins around 5:07)

And yes... gfx card prices suck thanks to the miners and the huge surge in Chinese gaming.

I'm not going to make jokes to wish bad on anyone. Doing that just isn't cool. Good thing might be that since so many things are made there, maybe they'll start developing/producing their own products for their market.

In fact, news out says that VIA is going to start releasing x86 CPUs to try to compete with Intel/AMD. Granted they'll have a way to go to catch up, but sounds like a lot of their chips may stay near that region.

Well, good thing we have your moral compass to keep us all in check. Besides which, I was merely being facetious anyhow. The VIA thing is old news. They'll never compete with AMD or Intel, but they can make CPUs all they like. It would never hurt in any area of hardware to have some honest options if it helps keep things more competitive, but I doubt that they'll be competing in the desktop market.

From what I saw they might stay more toward China. Supposedly the Chinese gaming market is starting to boom. I could see in a few years an area like China that may feel an incentive to not be dependent on Western technology trying to boost them up and then getting closer. Right now I would be enjoying my ryzen 1600, but I sold my RX 480 due to the mining craze. Move from an apartment to a newer house, so gotta have things like lawn mowers. Sold that for 365 for my 8gb card that I paid 250 for last year. Thought about the 1050ti but hate the idea of paying nearly 250 for one. Got my eye on a factory overclocked RX 560 4gb from Best buy of all places. 209 is the price, I figure it should be close. At least then I'll be able to game again.

Isn't China where all the gfx cards are made now? AMD is "based" in Santa Clara and Nvidia in Deleware and Santa Clara, but all the cards are made in China, no?
