best gpu upgrade without getting a new cpu

right now i have a gtx 660 and i would like to get some more performance, so what is the best video card that wont be bottle necked by my cpu.

i mostly use my computer for gaming at 1080p

specs
amd fx 4130 @ 4.4 ghz,
gtx 660,
16 gb of ram,
asrock 980DE3/U3S3
ocz z series 750 watt
1 tb hdd (i forgot what it's name is)

I would say the GTX 960 or the R9 280.

The GTX 960/R9-28 is probably the best choice w/o getting into severe bottleneck.

Thanks for the answers but those aren't enough of an improvement over my gtx 660 for the price so i think ill wait until i have enough money to build a new computer.

It's a fair upgrade actually. You will get up to 15-20 fps more in games.

It's also a good decision to, indeed, build a new one.

i dont want to pay $180-$200ish for only 15-20 more fps

By the time that Zambezi core fx-4130 bottlenecks a 960 or 280x the improvement gain over the 660 will be minimal.

You would get more gains right now from upgrading to an fx-8320 cpu then the gpu upgrade at the moment.
Then when you can do the gpu upgrade then the 280x (280x is better then a 960 for same cost) will make a nice performance boost.

i have considered getting a fx8320 and 280x but my favorite game (planetside 2) is very cpu limited and i've read that intel cpus perform better in planetsied 2 than amd cpus

Yeah, Planetside 2 is indeed better for Intel CPU's. You would barely notice an improvement with a GTX 960 in Planetside 2.
