Best graphics card for 1080p Gaming

Hi, I'm buying my first PC to play on 1080p resolution. I want a graphics card that can handle 1080p 60fps on the highest settings possible, But my budget is around 240$ and power consumption is important in this regard.

Radeon R9 280, GeForce GTX 960, Radeon R9 280X, Get for the radeons get a board with a good cooler or the chip will thermal and run at an underclock.

R9 280X , Draw back are temps , some 280x's are running hotter than NVidia's 960. Might be the TIM.

Thanks for your answers, and I'm thinking more about getting the 960 thinking about the DX12 and it is newer then the AMD's. Should I being considering this?

960 great card, hard to go wrong. Not sure I'd credit 'newness'. Might be some long term value in DX12 support if you keep you parts for a long time. And GTX 960 is strong enough to keep for a while.

Thanks man, I guess the GTX 960 suits better for me. And also I read that if I buy that card I'll get Withcher 3 key, so that's a plus.
