Ok I need some decision making help on what would be the best card to game at 60 fps on my triple 1080p monitor setup. Can afford up to a 980ti but that would be all of my money and wouldn't want to spend that much unless it was the only good option.

Solution
If you can afford the 980ti I would strongly recommend that for 3 monitors. Even then 1080p x 3 monitors would be pushing it. You could get 60 fps but you would need to lower your settings. 4k is 1080p times 4. I'm on my cell phone but you should look up benchmarks for 4k on the Web and see what kind of fps you would get.

The GTX 980 Ti is the best option right now. You go with anything less than that and you will get lower performance per dollar OR your power requirement will go up a lot. Do you already have a system built? If so what are your current specs?

A 980Ti or a pair of 970's in SLI would work. A 980 would be pushing it.

You could look at it this way, three 1920x1080 monitors only has 25% less pixels than a single 4K monitor. Most benchmarks place the average 980Ti FPS at 4K between 35-45 FPS, so adding 25% would yeild an average FPS at 5760x1080 around 44-56 FPS. Granted this is only a general ballpark estimate, but should give you a general idea on what a 980Ti would be able to do at that resolution.

I'd wait for the Fury X to come out (June 24) regardless of which card you want, the 980 TI's price is bound to drop. For 3x 1080 you need as much GPU power as you can afford. The 980 TI is probably what I would buy (with the option to add another down the road).

Thanks for the answers guys I know some of you say wait for the Fury but truly I'm trying to move away from AMD I think. Next year I'm going to be studying Computer science so with a major and career so heavily reliant on a good rig I'm going to go with the 980ti and to answer what's the rest of my specs: I have AMD fx 6350 over clocked to 4.5ghz but will be upgrading to an i5 4690k as soon as I get the money in the coming months. Thanks for the help guys!
