Best graphics card for gaming at or under 500 watts?

Before anyone says something about maybe i cant get a good one because my processor isn't powerful enough, i'm not too worried about that since i just recently got a new processor, which is the AMD FX-8310 Eight-Core Processor. I am just wondering what is the best graphics card i can get for this that is about $150 USD or less, i'm trying not to go too high because i don't want to spend a ton of money on it, i just want one that will be able to handle games like maybe COD black ops 2, some other COD games, and run most games like Garry's Mod, Team Fortress 2, at max settings and play Minecraft with max settings with shaders. Any suggestions?

Won't work, his psu only has 1 6pin pcie connector or I would have suggested a better gpu.

R9 270X is the most powerful in that price range; you have the pci-e connector to run that GPU.

A GTX 750 Ti would probably be the best or if you can spare a bit more you can bump up to a R7 270X which is even better.

Either one of those cards should handle Garrys Mod/F2 at max and probably Minecraft as well. Hell I was maxing out Garrys Mod and TF2 on a HD4870 1GB years ago.

Does that card not need 2 6pin pcie connectors, And if your going to use a adapter I would get this card instead.

A few weeks i was actually thinking about this card, and before i posted this i was wondering if i should just get it. Doesn't this card have two 6 pin connectors on it? I only have one but i don't know if you actually need two. If that is the case i can just get the 270 and not the 270x.

You can use a molex to pcie 6pin adapter. The MSI hawk I linked above comes with one and is much better then the powercolor.

If you want the best performance I would go for that one. The MSI Hawx is $164, so a bit more than $150 but it is easily double the GTX 750Ti in gaming and will easily max out TF2/ GMod and Minecraft.

Nice, so if i don't have to worry about it since you said it comes with a molex to 6 pin, i think that is what i'm going to get

No matter what graphics card i get for that price it will definitely be better than the one i have right now, the ATI Radeon HD 5470

Yes it is way better. It is 3 generations newer and a mid end GPU. If that's the one you want get it. The 270X is also a great deal for $15 bucks more.
