Best graphics card out of the two for upcoming games

A very tough one here they both trade blows. I would suggest gtx670 only because I prefer nvidia and I also believe the gtx670 has a slight edge over the hd7950(by a small margin)

btw how much are you getting the gtx670 for? if its anywhere near $400 USD, then you are better of getting a new gtx770 instead

Well, the upcoming Witcher 3, Rise of the Triad, and Batman Origins are PhysX games, so the GTX 670 will be essential for those. Even if you don't play any PhysX games, the GTX 670 is more on par with a 7970 and is going to be a faster option.

GTX 670>HD 7970>GTX 660>HD 7950 but if u can u should get the 4GB GDDR5 version in case GTA 5 is poorly optimized like GTA 4 did. 😉

GTX760 is also about on par with a GTX670, as long as we are talking 2GB.

the 670 is $329 on amazon as for the 7950 its $279.. i just want the best graphics card that can play at high/ultra settings for upcoming games under 350...

gtx670 at the moment doesnt offer the best price/performance.

You should either get the gtx760(almost same as the gtx670 for $250)

or the gtx770($390)

both EVGA and Gigabyte are good brands with similar performance. But the Gigabyte model has higher stock clock so I would go with that

no difference GDDR-5 2gb is the amount of video memory that is 2gb. its just naming.

gtx670 and 770 comes in either 2gb or 4gb model. 4gb model costs $50 more around $450 for the gtx770

hd7950 comes with 3gb GDDR-5 memory.

oh no i played on consoles and i figured why spend $500 on a stupid xbot and go toward my own gaming pc which i can upgrade later and be way beyond them while they spend the next 4-6 years on the next gen console for better graphics
