I'm sorry my friend but its time for a new cpu, which probably means new mobo and ram too. You could get a new gpu but it would almost certainly be bottlenecked by your current cpu.
What new CPU would you recommend? Will a 880K fit the bill? Or do I have to upgrade to a better CPU socket, like a LGA 1151 or a AM3+? Just note I have no intentions of upgrading for the rest of this year.
-Thanks
I wouldn't recommend an 880k, it is only marginally better than what you have now and won't really make a difference. You can see there isn't much difference in performance between the two.

I would recommend an i5 with a base clock over 3ghz in socket lga 1150 or lga 1151 for gaming.
