Hi, i want to know what graphics card to pair with a an AMD A10 7700 APU. In my last thread i said that my client needed a computer for hosting a minecraft server and playing minecraft . it turns out that he will be installing shaders with minecraft to make the graphics super HD and detailed. also he wants more than 60 FPS while on shaders. Now i heard that AMD APUs can run Dual Graphics with a dedicated GPU along with the onboard one. What is the best GPU to pair with this APU? Thanks.

i managed to get him to think more realistically and he has settled with an AMD FX 6300 and NVIDIA GTX 750 ti 8GB of 1333MHz RAM and a Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 motherboard

Not what I would have done, but it will work. be sure to overclock that cpu for him to get that single core performance up. as it is stock a haswell i3 is faster in single core perf.

FYI in the future. amd chipsets/ amd cpu's work best with amd gpu's. its all apart of one driver package that makes it a lot more simple.

It will work to put a 750ti in amd motherboard but I have seen issues before.

like what kind of issues? driver issues? or chipset?

Driver related as amd chipset drivers are a part of the normal graphics driver. the installer has to manually detect a lack of amd graphics card and only install chipset/ sata driver which it normally does, but they are integrated to have better functionality when paired together meaning essentially the occasional bluescreen or freeze or NVidia graphics driver will fail and recover crashing the game. its not super common but 5 times a year would be a reasonable estimate of cross driver failure due to this problem. triggered randomly it seems. add this to the regular graphics driver crashes one will see in a year of around 20 (depending on how often you play games/use gpu) and the system will appear to be slightly more buggy than a regular computer. still once or twice a month the game has to restart or computer has to restart isn't that bad and if you found a deal for a 750ti id still go for it.
