If you get a graphics card (like the GTX960 or some of the GTX970s), all you will need is an adapter like this one. If you don't have one of these already, ask your friends. If they've upgraded their graphics before, it's likely one of them has one. I think I have two or three that are not in use around here.

The "best" card you're going to find that has a VGA port on it is most likely going to be the nVidia GT 730 or the AMD Radeon R7 250 -- apparently, not even the GTX 750Ti comes with a VGA port anymore.

If your monitor absolutely, positively, cannot use any other input than VGA, then it's probably time to get a new monitor. Even the bargain-basement 20" LED monitors, like this $70 one from AOC (http://www.microcenter.com/product/457700/E2060SWD_20_LED_Monitor) have a DVI input on it. But if you're not sold on getting a new monitor, you'll have to get an adapter (DVI to VGA or HDMI to VGA) for your card.

well i have found ASUS nVidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB GDDR5 128bit - GTX750TI-OC-2GD5 has vga, guess am going for it unless i find a way to get better card than that. its quite weird, monitor is only 2 years old and it was pretty costly back then, yet it only have vga and power ports 🙁

thanks for the answers guys, am gonna get dvi-i to vga adapter its like 4 bucks at store am getting rest of the components, but now the question is there are 2 graphics cards that suits my budget, nVidia GeForce GTX 950 2GB and Radeon R7 370 2GB. which would be better one? or i should make new thread about that?

Technically, they're at the same level on the hierarchy. However...

The GTX 950 is apparently ~10% faster. So, as long as the GTX 950 is no more than 10% more expensive than the R7 370, then you should get the 950. If the price margin is bigger, then you would probably be OK with the R7 370.

That being said... double-check & see if the RX 460 is available. Its performance is on par or slightly ahead of the GTX 950 (http://www.techspot.com/review/1221-amd-radeon-rx-460/page9.html), & it's supposed to be in the same price range. Plus, being a newer generation it'll probably hold up longer.

i would love rx 460 but sadly it only have dvi-d port, hdmi/dvi-d to vga are costly :/ and am already 40bucks over budget limit, anyway those 2 cards are pretty identical to each other guess i wont be wrong if i get either one :)
