I'm thinking of getting a new GPU and have decided on the GTX 1660 Super and was possibly thinking about the Asus Tuf or Ventus since it's compact for my build. Do you guys know any brands that may not lack in performance, good cooling and compact? I've also been hearing that the VENTUS isn't really a good card and has pretty bad temperatures meaning the fans would kick in and it would be very loud.

I have always gone for Asus GPUs never had a problem, must ad that in reviews of GPUs many show EVGA first you will be fine with an ASUS or Evga 1660super i asume you play with 1080p screen ?
Personaly if i ever upgrade my asus 1060 6gb i will definetly go for a ROG strix 1660super ...
purchase of an EVGA gpu is kind of a roll of the dice unless you know alot about chipsets and GPU harware!!!
If you have seen a in depth review of a specific card go for it .
Would stay away from msi there not bad but seem to have a shorter life spawn than ASUS Gpus.

If I were buying an Nvidia card I would lean more toward EVGA over either MSI or ASUS though. But both are good but I tend to steer away from ASUS products mainly because they have terrible customer support.
I was looking at the EVGA model and it does look very nice. But is it really true that the MSI Ventus versions are actually quite loud and contain bad temperatures for the card?

I bought the ventus xs oc a month ago. Fans idling at 40%/ 1500 rpm and are quite audible (if not loud).
I even want to look for a way to edit the vbios, but that could take days. Fan stop feature my butt

It might be worthwhile to wait a little and try to pick up a used 1080 or 1080Ti as they are faster than anything in the GTX 16 range and prices should be coming down soon as the RTX 30 release dates get closer.
