I bought a Yamaha RX-V377 a few years ago, and it has served me well for the most part. The only downside I noticed was when I bought my first 4k TV 4 years ago I discovered that this receiver isn't technically designed with 4k capability. I have worked around that by connecting my 4k streaming device to one end of this 4k HDCP Converter and the other end to the receiver, but I would ideally like to move away from having to use extra parts like that. Given all this, I haven't been looking into receivers in years, so I have no idea whats out there and I was hoping someone could recommend me a good 4k receiver on a budget, preferably under $200. I wouldn't even need the new receiver to be an upgrade from the V377, it could be virtually identical but include HDCP 2.2, and I would be satisfied. Even pre-owned would be fine if that is recommended. My current components are:
- Samsung 4K TV
- 4K FireTV Stick - HDMI
- Turntable fed through a pre-amp - RCA cables
- Sony Blu-ray Player - HDMI
- Steam Link - HDMI
