The "top tier" drive for any desktop system is the WD Black Drives. Performance, reliability and warranty (5 years!) can't be beat. Occasionally I use the WD Blue Drive in budget systems, but that is only when the budget dictates and the system utilization doesn't require the performance. The WD Black 1TB runs about $90, the WD Blue is about $60 - it is 50% more, but worth the price in my opinion....
