Seagate!
It is the best brand, according to my experience and others' saying.
Never try IBM or Hitachi. They make retarded harddrives which go out of work easily.
Western Digital is another good brand.
Hope this can help you, starcraftfanatic.

It all happens to be the luck of the draw....

In my personal uses, I've used maxtor, seagate, western digital, and IBM..

Half my western digital and IBM drives have died, all my maxtor drives have died, none of my seagates have died. Seagates also have the longest warranty, 5 years on pretty much all their drives. I've had two of them in a raid 0 for around 6 years, 1 stand alone for about 3 years, and 2 newly purchased ones that are about 8 months old. all going strong.
