Best Intel CPU for GTX 1060 6GB?

Hello,

I know very little about PC building so I need some help, I'm looking to buy a new long lasting pc with the GTX 1060 6GB. This pc will be used for gaming only, no 4K editing or streaming. I was looking at the i7-8700K but I read that that was a bad choice because it will outperform the GPU. Is the i5-8600k a better choice?
These are the other components: NZXT Kraken X52 watercooling, Gigabyte Z370P D3 motherboard, Crucial 8GB DDR4-2133, 600 Watt Cooler Master and 250GB SSD

8400 or 8500 should be a good choice. Even 8600k is fine.

Get the 8400, get a B360 Motherboard and a cheaper cooler like the Cryorig H7. you dont need an AIO for a locked chip, also no need for Z370 for a locked chip.
