I desperately need to place my dud of a Toshiba Satellite, because I'm ready to throw it through the window. It was a cheapish panic purchase 18 months ago when my previous (and more expensive) Satellite died. I've always had Toshiba laptops, but my current one has put me off ever buying another.

So, what should I buy? I have a budget of £500 - £750, but is it worth pushing to the top end of that budget to get 16GB of RAM? Is there a significant difference between an i5 and an i7 processor?

I'll be using the laptop mainly for Photoshop and InDesign, and general internet browsing.

Models I'm looking at:

Dell Inspiron 5000 (i7, 16GB RAM) - £748

Dell Inspiron 5000, (i7, 8GB RAM) - £649

HP Pavilion (i7, 8GB RAM) - £599

Any of those any good? Or is there something else I should be looking at? Thank you in advance!

The hp is the best out of the ones that you have chosen but you can do a lot better. Check this one out: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/optimusVII-15/.

For photoshop the best laptop that I know is asus if you only want brand names.

Thank you!
