Hello, so I currently run Windows XP but every since that Microsoft announced that they will stop coverage of updates, I'm thinking that I'd rather upgrade my computer for like $250 later this year, and back everything up from this XP machine, and just install linux.
Is is possible to run Windows XP as a virtual machine, and dump all my existing content (like music, photos, etc) back onto this virtual machine's "hard disk"?
My actual computer specs are found on this thread if you're interested (hence why I will be upgrading it a little bit so it can run a little smoother with what I use it for --> programming in Python, learning through ebooks, Finale with guitar, emulators, music, etc):
