it has been awhile since i've looked around for one of these. i was just wondering which liquid cooling heatsink has the best performance to date

Best performance will be found with a custom loop. That's expensive, and not easy to deal with.

Best for an AIO kit would probably be the swifttech H240-X or the H220-X. They're top tier performers with the boxed fans, which are silence oriented even.
