Best memory for i7 2600k overclocking?

Hello,
I'm going tommorow to buy a new pc for CAD programs and I am still not sure about a few things, and I will really appreciate your help :)
I don't understand much about overclocking but I'm a fast learner (I hope its true before I burn things to hell)

The system is going to be Intel based on:

Intel® Core™ i7-2600K Processor (8M Cache, 3.40 GHz)

Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD3-B3

Intel X25-M SSDSA2MH120G2K5 2.5" 120GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Westren Digital Caviar Blue WD10EALX 3.5" 1000GB SATA3 32MB

CoolerMaster Silent Pro M600 600W

As you can see, I don't know which RAM shoud I pick up and which RAM will be better for overclock.
The i7 2600K fits DDR3 only up to 1333mhz.
How accurate is that? can I mount 1600/2000mhz with it or it will be an overkill?
I am looking for about 8GB of RAM total for like 200-250$.

Also I would like to overclock the CPU to around 4.6Ghz
How much this Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD3-B3 overclockable?

These are too expencive ><
In order to overclock, what is the diffrence between CL7, CL8 and CL9?
Also, I see some RAM runs at 1.5V, some at 1.65V and I swear to god I've see 1.75V.

What is better? (sorry for the dumb question. i googled it a couple of times but it seems to be I too stupid to understand this by my own
 
First of all the memory is not linked to the clock speed of the CPU in Sandy Bridge. It will overclock as well with DDR3 1333 as with DDR3 2000. That being said I recommend DDR3 1600 cas 8 or 9 for most people as that seems to be the best for most users. I recommend GSkill or Corsair.

The Gigabyte P67A UD3 is a great budget board.
 


Eventually I think I would take the Corsair DDR3 1600MHz CL 9-9-9-24 Vengeance.

Also I took the OCZ SSD Vertex 2 2.5" 120GB SATA2 drive instead of the Intel I posted earlier:

and I also replaced the WD HDD with Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 3.5" 1000GB SATA2 32MB.

P.S
I sorry to be such a nagger but this is a big investment for me and I really hope to get things right this time.
(not like the time I took the GA-EP35-DS3R + Q9300. This config performed worse than DG33FB + Q6600)
 
That Corsair memory is a fine choice.

I have that same SSD and I am very happy with it.

The Spinpoint F3 is the best bang for your buck mechanical hard drive.

All very good choices. It will be a very fast machine.

There's better stuff for CAD.

RAM - CAD likes fast, low latency RAM. I'd use these:

But I think you are missing something on the 1155 platform. On the 1366 platform, where OC'ing wa done via BCLK adjustments, you needed DDR3-1600 to accomplish a 200 BCLK at the default memory multiplier of 8. On the 1155 platform, you're not doing that. You are simply going to set the CPU multiplier where you want it (45-ish) and the memory multiplier where you want it (1600 MHz). The higher the Megahertz, the faster your memory and therefore the faster your machine will be.

As for CAS Latency, that's the amount of time it takes between handling each instruction. CAD likes low latency. CAS 6 is faster than CAS 7 which is faster than CAS 8 which is faster than CAS 9

MoBo - I'd wanna move up to a MoBo that doe better than x 4 on the 2nd GFX slor such as the P8P67 Pro from Asus (DDR3 2200(O.C.)/2133(O.C.)/1866(O.C.)/ 1600/1333/1066) .... about $185

HD - The Spinpoint F3, Seagate 7200.12 and WD Black all take the lead in different benchies. In CAD boxes, there's little performance differences, so I usually pick the 7200.12 as it's about 1/8th as loud as the other two and runs much cooler.

SSD - The vertex 2's are good but the 120 GB and 60 GB models are fudged

Odd that there's no mention of GFX card. For 2D CAD and light to "low end moderate" 3D rendering, I find the nVidia GTX 5xx series to do the job well enough while leaving you free to play with that hardware a bit. ATI just doesn't do 2D well and in 3D, you're gonna want CUDA. At mid moderate to "lower end of the hi end" CAD rendering a Quadro 4000 card will do nicely. After that it gets expensive.
