I'm upgrading my current system and am planning on getting a Xeon e3 1231v3. This is for my birthday, and my limit for money is about $170. That means I'll have to buy the CPU with my own money. For that price, I need a motherboard to pair with the 1231v3 as well as a Micro ATX case. I'm thinking this motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157512

I am unsure about cases, though. If I get the Cougar Spike ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811553011 ) with that motherboard, I would have about $70 left which I could use to upgrade the system in other areas or use the money to help pay for the CPU.

Any thoughts? The Spike looks pretty good, and it seems after some research as though it could fit my 212 Plus. Thanks in advance!

I already have the 212 Plus, though. I figured I'd just throw it into the new build as well.
If you don't recommend the Spike, can you link me to some cases you would recommend? I know you're on here all the time and I know you must have some good recommendations.

It just looks pretty hard to beat, especially for that price. I can pay more, but why pay more if you can get a good case for cheaper?

In my opinion the Corsair air 240 is the best. It comes in white and black and it has a second chamber for cable management which is a hassle with small cases and it allows for many cooling options.

The 350D seems good, but it's almost the same size as my current mid tower

Similarly to the 350D, that just seems really bulky for a mATX case. It looks good, but I would have to get rid of my second monitor because that won't fit by my feet currently haha

After a bunch of back-and-forth in my mind, I settled on the Cooler Master N200. It's a good size, has really good reviews, fits my 212 Plus just barely, and all in all just seems like a good deal for $30 (with MIR). I used the extra cash for a good wifi card. Thanks for y'all's input!
