Hello guys,

I know that this is a question that is very frequently asked here, but I'm going to be building my first gaming desktop pretty soon, and I've got a list of pretty much everything I'm going to need, with the exception of a few things. I've been doing research on things that I was unsure about or wanted to know more about, and I'm satisfied with what I've selected thus far. However, I have not been able to find a case that suits both my tastes aesthetically and will cater to my needs/wants as far as cooling goes.

Here are the parts that I currently have in mind:
- AMD FX-6300 3.5 gHz (4.1 OC) AM3+ CPU
- GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3P AM3+ ATX Motherboard
- EVGA GeForce GTX 660 FTW Signature 2 2GB GPU
- G.SKILL RipJaws X 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 RAM (May eventually upgrade to 16GB (4 x 4GB) if someone recommends it.)
- ThermalTake ToughPower Grand 850w PSU
- Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD

In addition to those, I would like to install one of the Corsair Hydro series AIO CPU coolers (Whichever happens to best fit the case that I end up purchasing).

I'm looking for a case that isn't too extravagant (I prefer simpler cases), but still looks nice. For example, I like the looks of the Corsair 200R, 230T, 550D, and the Fractal Design Arc Midi R2. But, the case also needs good airflow and enough space to fit a few 120mm fans in good places and a Corsair AIO cooler, preferably an H75 if only a 120mm spot is available, or a H100i if 240mm is available, and preferably on the top or in the front of the case.

I appreciate any help in making my decision on the best case for this build, and I am open to suggestions if someone would happen to know of a part that is better than one that I have selected. But if so, please try to suggest items that are similarly priced, as I will be right around my budget limit for this build.

Thank you in advance,
Spectre

I'm not sure whether this fits a budget but I recommend the nzxt phantom 410 it has space for two 280/240mm rads and looks amazing also I'm not certain but that is a very large and expensive PSU for a pc of this calibre
Hope this helps :)

Upon seeing that case, I thought it looked kind of weird because of the "hump" on the top. But after looking at more images, I like it quite a bit actually. And I ran the system through a PSU calculator and I found out that I can easily get away with a 650w PSU, but I was thinking about going with the 850w for longevity reasons after toying with the capacitor aging function on the calculator, and seeing that having 850w would be good for when the capacitors begin to age. Although I guess you're right, the 850w is overkill.

Well if you haven't already bought the PSU I immediately recommend an EVGA PSU easily the best PSU I know and with 10 year warranty just to completely deviate from the Original question :)

None of the parts have been bought yet, but I'll be getting most, if not all of them for Christmas.
And I was looking at EVGA's PSU's a while back, but I read some reviews about them having issues with their fans or having issues with power fluctuations. Do you have one? And if so, how long have you owned it for, and have you experienced any issues with it?

I haven't owned one because I to am building my pc using Christmas money but I've heard they're good and EVGA are good with customer service and that and it's gold rated anyway so it's got to be pretty good in the first place to get that badge

Might take a look at a Corsair Carbide 400r. Very easy to build a system in, lots of room for multiple GPU's, hard drives. The toolless drive installation on it is a snap, and its only about 100 bucks on newegg.

I happened to stumble upon the Aerocool GT and GT Advance cases while browsing around on here, and I like the look of the white variant, so I'm thinking about purchasing a GT Advance in white, but I can't seem to find a US retailer that sells them. Does anyone know where I can get my hands on one?
